Bumblebee Batteries Limited Product Warranty
The BeeMax™ battery from Bumblebee Batteries carries a standard one-year warranty for the Standard version and three years for the Performance version, with extended warranties optionally available at the time of purchase. The warranty for the BeeLine™ battery is one year, with extended warranties optionally available at the time of purchase. If your battery fails for any reason during normal use within the warranty period, we will repair or replace your battery at our discretion. Warranties are fully transferable.
Although we want you to be 100% satisfied we must limit our liability. By installing our product you agree to our limited warranty and the limits of our liability and waiver of claims. Your core must be returned back to Bumblebee Batteries in order for the warranty to be activated. Customers who do not have a core return may pay a $500 core fee to activate the warranty.
WARRANTY SERVICE REQUESTS
All warranty service requests must be initiated by emailing Warranty@BumblebeeBatteries.com the following information:
- First and Last Name
- Phone Number
- Address of Vehicle for Service
- Vehicle Identification Number
- Reported Mileage
- Invoice Number or Copy of Invoice
- Images of Diagnostic Trouble Codes or Copies of Diagnostic Report
All suspected warranty claims must be diagnosed or verified. The vehicle can be taken to a repair shop, dealer, or parts store to obtain trouble codes and/or diagnostic reports. You can purchase an OBD II scanner, as well. Diagnostic trouble codes provided by a personal-use OBD II Scanner will suffice.
- Take a picture of the scanner and codes.
- Email the pictures of the diagnostic trouble codes to Warranty@BumblebeeBatteries.com
If you have the vehicle diagnosed, the following information must be provided by
the repair shop or dealership:
- All Diagnostic Trouble Codes from all computer modules of the vehicle: Powertrain Control Module, Battery Energy Control Module, Engine Control Module, Transmission Control Module, Body Control Module, Transmission Control Module, and ABS Control Module.
Upon review of the diagnostic trouble codes, and determination of a battery failure within the customer’s warranty period, Bumblebee Batteries will replace the failed battery. Bumblebee Batteries will not reimburse for diagnostic or towing expenses associated with any warranty claims.
Pack the battery in its original box or a well-protected box, as outlined in the Return Shipping Instructions. Bumblebee Batteries, LLC will not be responsible for shipping damage/loss of any product. It is very important that you write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package. Ship the battery along with a copy of your original order confirmation or other proof of purchase, your name, address, phone number, description of the problem(s), and the RMA number you have obtained to

Upon receiving the battery, Bumblebee Batteries, LLC will send you a replacement battery within sixty (60) days (dependent on parts availability) via FedEx. A tracking number will be provided.
Bumblebee Batteries, LLC will pay for shipping to and from the customer only within the first thirty days following the original product delivery date. Following this 30-day period all shipping fees for warranty replacement batteries will be the sole responsibility of the customer at a standard $195 fee. The company will assume full liability for losses or damages resulting from shipping as well as all responsibility to pursue remuneration for such issues with their selected carrier.
TERMS OF THE WARRANTY
Limited Liability & Waiver of Claims
Bumblebee Batteries guarantees our battery for the entirety of the warranty period regardless of age or mileage. Our Bumblebee Batteries Unlimited Mileage Warranty includes battery replacement for a failed battery in accordance with our warranty process stated above.
This product warranty becomes null and void if the damage is caused by misuse, abuse, or accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; exposure to harsh weather and/or chemicals; or lack of proper maintenance. This warranty also becomes null and void if the product is opened or any sticker is tampered with, broken, or missing, or if the damage is caused by any other condition that is beyond the control of Bumblebee Batteries.
IN ALL CASES, Bumblebee Batteries SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPE OF INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, ARE EXCLUDED.
Bumblebee Batteries, LLC makes no other warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to your purchase other than as set forth below. Bumblebee Batteries, LLC makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, with respect to any other manufacturer’s product or documentation, its quality, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description.
Except as provided below, Bumblebee Batteries, LLC is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience, or damage that may result from the use or inability to use the battery. Under no circumstances shall Bumblebee Batteries, LLC be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience, or damage exceeding the purchase price of the battery.
The warranty and remedies set forth below are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.
By accepting this product, you hereby waive and release any claim now or hereafter existing against Bumblebee Batteries, its employees, officers, directors, agents, and customers, on account of any and all claims, demands, suits, causes of action, and all legal proceedings, whether civil or criminal, damages, losses, liabilities (including, but not limited to, strict liability in tort), obligations, penalties, judgments or fines and other sanctions, and any costs and expenses in connection therewith, including legal fees and expenses of whatever kind and nature, which may result from or arise out of injury to or death or loss or damage to property or the loss of use of any property which may result from or arise out of the possession, condition, use or operation of this product.
The Facts
- The warranty is transferable in accordance with our warranty transfer program: https://bumblebeebatteries.com/warranty/
- Warranty is NOT transferable to any other vehicle except where required by law. This means the warranty only applies to the purchased battery in the original vehicle. This warranty becomes null and void if you install the battery in a different vehicle other than the original vehicle.
- The warranty covers failures during normal vehicle operation only. Failure due to damage from accidents, water damage, extreme temperature conditions, excessive use, longer than thirty (30) days of non-operation, customer modifications to the vehicle’s electrical system, or acts of God are not covered.
- Bumblebee Batteries does not offer refunds.
This Warranty Excludes Failures Due To
- The vehicle is stored for a period of thirty (30) days or more.
- The vehicle is not driven for more than 2,500 miles per year during the warranty period.
- The physical damage was caused after the delivery of the battery to the customer.
- Removal, tampering, or damage to warranty labels.
- Any modification or bypass of vehicle systems not in congruence with the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Reinstallation of the HV battery into a different vehicle.
- The hybrid battery becomes damaged due to a stalling engine and/or the vehicle being driven when the engine is not operating properly. Diagnostic trouble codes that indicate this condition include but are not limited to P0A0F, P0AB9, P3190, P3191, P3193, P1196, P0101, P0102, and P0505. A $375 service fee will be applicable if the hybrid battery discharges due to engine failure.
- Flooding, fire, or other damaging incidents in which the battery’s environment is compromised.
- Any condition beyond the control of Bumblebee Batteries, Inc.
WARRANTY TRANSFER PROGRAM
Requirements to Transfer Warranty
The warranty of the hybrid battery may be transferred away from the original owner of the vehicle to the new vehicle owner only once for the duration of the warranty’s specified period. Provisions apply. By signing this Agreement, the New Owner agrees to the terms and conditions of the hybrid battery’s warranty. The warranty transfer request will be approved at the discretion of the Seller if all of the requirements and documents are met. The warranty transfer request must be initiated within seven(7) days of the vehicle sale.
To initiate the transfer request, the New Owner must electronically sign this agreement within the aforementioned time frame of the vehicle sale. The following documents are required. Please submit them to Warranty@BumblebeeBatteries.com. These documents can be submitted at any point past the aforementioned time frame. However, a transfer request can not be processed until all required documents are received.
- Proof of Sale: The New Owner must submit a copy of a dated Bill of Sale.
- If the vehicle transaction is a gift, enter zero for the sale amount.
- Proof of Battery Purchase: The New Owner must submit a copy of the original hybrid battery invoice.
- Submitting the invoice number of the original hybrid battery purchase will suffice.
- New Owners can get a copy of the hybrid battery invoice from the original purchaser of the hybrid battery.
- Bumblebee Battery emails a copy of the paid invoice to all original purchasers of the hybrid battery.
- Proof of Ownership: The New Owner must submit a copy of their new vehicle registration or temporary registration, AND provide a copy of the original owner’s vehicle registration.
- Bumblebee Battery needs to confirm the VIN matches the original purchase order and proof on hand of the owner’s name on the vehicle’s registration.
- Bumblebee Battery understands the turnaround time for the DMV to provide registration can vary by state. This document can be submitted at any point past the aforementioned time frame.
Once all required documents have been provided, all parameters have been met, and the Warranty Transfer Agreement has been signed, Bumblebee Battery will process the request. If approved, Bumblebee Battery will provide the New Owner with a Warranty Transfer Confirmation certificate. Should the New Owner need to file a warranty claim on the hybrid battery, the New Owner may need to provide a copy of this certificate.
The warranty becomes valid and active once a certificate is obtained by the New Owner. There are zero fees to transfer the warranty.
Provisions to the Warranty Transfer Policy
- Retail customers of Bumblebee Battery are subject to the following provisions:
- Warranty Claims must be facilitated by the owner of the vehicle or the Main Driver of the vehicle.
- If the name on the vehicle’s registration is updated, regardless of the relationship, a warranty transfer must be initiated.
- If the Main Driver of the vehicle is updated, regardless of the relationship, warranty claims must be facilitated by the original purchaser of the hybrid battery.
- Warranty Claims must be facilitated by the owner of the vehicle or the Main Driver of the vehicle.
- Automotive Repair Shop or Service Department customers of Bumblebee Battery are subject to the following provisions:
- Not eligible to transfer the warranty.
- The driver of the vehicle must contact the repair shop that purchased the hybrid battery.
- The repair shop will process the warranty claim with Bumblebee Battery.
- The repair shop that purchased the hybrid battery is the customer of Bumblebee Battery; not the driver of the vehicle.
- Automotive Dealership customers of Bumblebee Battery are subject to the following provisions:
- Once the vehicle with a Bumblebee hybrid battery has been sold away from the Dealership to a new owner, the transaction counts as a Warranty Transfer.
- The party that purchased the vehicle from the dealership does not have an allotted transfer request on the warranty.
- For the warranty to be eligible to transfer, the Dealership that initially bought the battery needs to provide Bumblebee Battery with a bill of sale, new-owner contact information, and a copy of the Bumblebee Battery invoice, within seven(7) days of the vehicle sale date.
- Once the vehicle with a Bumblebee hybrid battery has been sold away from the Dealership to a new owner, the transaction counts as a Warranty Transfer.
- Bumblebee Battery is not responsible for the unknowing of this policy.
